Pamela Anderson wants to design her own range of "animal-friendly" boots.
The former Baywatch babe -- a PETA campaigner and vegan -- was shocked to discover her favorite Ugg boots were made of sheepskin, and is keen to come up with a suitable alternative.
She says, "Like a lot of women around L.A, I always wore Ugg boots until I realized what they are made from.
"I don't wear them any more. Instead I'm designing my own range of animal-friendly shoes. My goal is to make sure every mom in Malibu has a pair of boots that are not sheep."
Anderson, 41, recently sent a letter to fast food chain KFC over the treatment of chickens on their supplier's farms.
She wrote, "My friends at PETA Europe and I have a bone to pick with KFC over the treatment of birds on your supplier's factory farms.
"Chickens are bred to grow so quickly they can barely walk and they stew in their own waste for their entire lives. This is Colonel Sanders' real 'secret recipe'.
"At slaughter, these poor animals are still conscious when they are snapped into metal shackles, often with broken legs.
"They are shocked in an electrified water bath and many are still fully conscious when their necks are sliced open. Some are even burned to death in the scalding tank for feather removal."
